One Hundred Days to Make Me a Better Person

I have just signed myself up to One Hundred Days to Make me a Better Person. My pledge is to speak to a new person every single day. This was supposed to be a New Years resolution of sorts this year. It worked for about a week. This time I’ve decided to begin my ’100 days..’ pledge a week after everybody else in the hope that my constant need to equal my peers will push me to better them all in their attempts at personal growth.

Today my new person was my Job Centre Advisor, Mark. He was nice. He guided me through my rapid reclaim after my trip to NYC (where, indeed, I spoke to all sorts of brand new people: go me!). He made a bad joke where he advised me not to change my signature in case it confused the DWP. At least…I think it was a joke. I laughed awkwardly anyway. Today I learnt how to laugh at jokes in the face of benefits advisors.
